22. Badsey enclosure map 1812

We end with an image of the Badsey enclosure map. This small area around Badsey church shows the richness of detail in the map and its beautiful colouring. The Enclosure Map Project was not just about the two maps but they have been a source of inspiration and focus. The project took in many aspects of the land and buildings in the parish from the time of the enclosures up to the present day.

The Badsey Society Enclosure Map Project was a major village history project running from 2005 to 2007 led by Maureen Spinks. This series of pictures show how the project was run and some of its outcomes. The Society is grateful for a grant received from the Local Heritage Initiative.
